She moves ever onward with a slow and steady pace that brings her closer and closer to her destination. She has traveled miles and years ever stalking her prey, ever seeking the end that will be final. Her body is ageless and formless. Her touch is cold and iron-like, no one escapes her grasp. Her beauty and glorious and terrible. Her gaze is oblivion.

She looms over the shadow of The Dragon Slayers, waiting. From behind the pillars of Nar'Shen Darkslip R'Van she patiently waits for that moment. The moment that has been their destiny since birth, the moment that is everyone's destiny.

If u think bout it, if she is not the person that controls the spores and the dead, we need not fight her. I think the DM gave us a hint that she is not the one we should be fighting and yes we did mess up and it did cost us another life but we should change our ways of thinkin now because I have always said it in game and out, I'm running on limited time rite now and in the end it could make a difference and I honestly think that if I am to die, I rather it be facing the true enemy.

The party manages to avert disater by an act of treason and a shifting of the planes. Lost and confused Talis the Sword Prince, Darius, Naz Iman and Nael Shadowmourne find themselves the newest residence of The 9 Hells of Baator but, unlike the majority of its denizens, they have managed to retain their souls. They have been transported from The World Below to a land just as dark and just as forboding. Yet there is a pressing feeling of purpose. The essence of their fallen companions call to those that know how to listen. The fateful can also feel a divine hand in their strange twists of fate. The Whispering One and The God of Storms have sent their chosen on a holy quest... but to what end?

Why here, why now?

As their hearts begin to blacken the 'heroes' climb down from their precarious perch and search for clothes, shelter and the first steps of their new journey.

Naz Iman stands peering through the window of his room at the inn. Below the creatures, for calling them men would be a perversion of the word, go about their live as if they are unaware or uncaring of the knowledge that burns his very being. They are in Hell. They are the damned, doomed to suffer eternities of pain. They are dead.

Darius sit on one of the beds surrounded by his undead minions and pouring through his coveted spellbook. He seems unphased by the betrayal of the party that brought them here to this point, Uneffected by the nightmar landscape that they have been brought to, and unafraid of the taint that can easily be senced swirling around them. Talis lays sleep after praying to Indra for guidance and blessing. The two Judas call this expedition a holy quest. Naz feels like it is more of a holy nightmare. Indra is a god of war, a god of warriors... why would he send his faithful to a place where a man's souls is the currency of the day. He. Naz, was a priest that spread the word amognst a people that had never heard of the Vedic or had room for them in their lives. He didn't belong here.

But maybe sit by and watching the treachery of others and doing nothing is just as damning as participating first hand.

Sinn and Jaden we dragon Slayers you two were the last of a dead order. Brothers in arms. Who else did you have left to trust after Talis renounced his role as a slayer? Daichi was the last, but is his soul dambed through sacrifice?

Session 32: Darkness in the hearts of men

Ill equipped and ill informed the party sets out from Neverblack to desinations unknown. Talis, Darius and Naz accpet the help of a local named Ravvyn and his cohorts Niv and Dominus. They know the immediate area and they want the heroes to reach their destination safely. Ravvyn is a hunter of moderate skill, Dominus is a jack of all trades that specializes in watching and Niv.. well Niv is guided by an obscure diety. Nael hired an ally of his own a stranger in a strange land wringled with age and claiming to have fought in The Four's conquest of Farstmore. The locals call him 'The Paladin' but he claims no such title, just a desire to keep those of pure heart from straying off the path. With this large band of damned souls and damned living the new adventure begins.

It is their first night out of Dagon's Fissure that the party is met by two souls claiming to have escaped capture and were desperate for food. The party, already feeling the taint of The Nine Layers offered them no more assistance than a bit to eat and vague directions to Neverblack. In hell its easy to forget one's humanity and help ones fellow man is such a lofty thought that is goes first. The party allows the naked fugitives to rest in their camp yet when morning comes they initially ignore the obvious signs of one of the slaves dying. When an eqaully naked woman stumbles into the camp she wasn't even afforded a second glance. Darkness... in hell a little dark tint of the heart can go a long way.

The party's second visitor was not as beautiful or as friendly. Drawn by the blood of another of Darius and Talis' rituals a Wild Twin-Dragon swoops down for a morning feast. The six limbed two headed dragon cast a great looming shadow that struck fear in the band. In a panic the creatur is attacked and it swiftly becomes obvious that the party does not have the means to defeat such a monster. All fled except for Dominus who's knowledge of Dragons taught him that he was safer hiding while the others fled across the sandy expanse toward the unknown.

Once again the wheel has turned and the Hammer of the judge has fallen. Now a new party sets out to create their own story.

1 Gnome, 3 Humans, 2 Teuflings, 3 Elves... has the age of the Elves finally come to a conclusion?
