Land of the Four: Revisited Season 3

So........ I heard the news Saturday.

Who will start? What happened?

We walked into this massive room filled with mud. Jubei, myself and Talis walked deeper into the center of this mud filled room in search of Talis' stolen sword. We are greeted by Talimane's sister who turns the mud to stone, trying to trap us. Talis was able to move the the mud from under us so our legs wouldnt be encased in stone, the rest of the party werent so lucky. We later find out they are the lucky ones when she decides to reverse gravity, sending us on a 100ft drop. Jubei was quick enough to grab on a piece of stone in order to save himself from certain death. Somehow we both survive the fall with 4 hp and was able to heal ourselves enough to put up a fight. Two Driders(Half drow, half spider) appeared out of two of the many holes around the room. Talis call upon Bloodstorm to give him the power of flight, I hopped on his shoulders and we proceeded to slay the two driders before they kill our other party members. Jaden and the dwarf were able to break themselves free, Jaden feather falling to the ceiling which was now the floor and the dwarf falling up a flight of stairs. The drow priestess comes out of one of the holes and confronts Jaden. Jaden who fights dragons one on one didnt back down and engaged her. All she did was lay a finger on him and he on 4 HP and had uncontrollable shakes. I think then is when Talis and Jubei joins the fray, Talis healed them and she called down an ice storm. Meanwhile I had to fight off a GIANT spider before it ate Daichi who was still trapped in stone. I took a bunch of arrows and a screamer but I got it done like always. The priestess makes her escape through one of the holes and Jaden quickly follows and Talis start flying back to pick me up. Jaden finds himself alone in another room with the drow and whole lot of words were said. Here's how it went in my head:

Round 1: She wild shapes into a scorpion attack Jaden. DEAD
Round2: Jubei jumps into the same hole drinks a potion that turns him into a big cat, she point a claw at him and cast Finger of Death. DEAD

At this time Im on the ceiling by myself as she come up out of the hole as a huge scorpion. She rushes me and I start to put arrows in her. Knowing the sting of a scorpion is deadly I shot its sting with an ice arrow, CRIT and turned its sting and most of its tail to a block of ice as I flipped on her back. Talis join in the fight and I continued to put arrows into the back of her head while she was whacking me with a block of ice. From 100ft below the dwarf manage to make his way up and started WASTING all of Daichi's arrows but he did get a few hits in. Of course in every dire situation I FUMBLED and almost broke my bow but just I just dropped it so I pulled out my blade and started hacking at her neck. It was obvious that our attacks were taking a toll on her so she healed herself but that wasnt enough so she threw up an anti-life barrier so we couldnt hit her. And to make matters worst she reversed the gravity back to normal so I jumped onto Talis thinking he was flying but unfortunately he wasnt even though we were fight on a ceiling.( Come on Talis!) So 100ft later we are two broken up corpse intertwined with each other. The dwarf finishes her off with a few jigs of a dagger but not before she blew herself up like her bitch ass sister. Daichi finally got himself free just in time to avoid part of the explosion, the dwarf wasnt so lucky.

So one drow priestess is dead but at what cost ?
Talis - Dead
Sinn - Dead
Jaden - Dead
Jubei - Dead

i assumed sin and myself died from taking fall damage...did i stop flying for some reason? Cuz i prolly would have tried to prevent us from taking that damage again....

Doh! Wow this suxs. Two players survived and the spores are still unfound. Today when we get together its gonna be interesting.

Daichi will not be around today?

Yeah it was 100 feet plus the explosion after they were already dead so it was splat damn I'm dead oh wait boom I'm deader

We need to complete this mission, finalize this chapter in the Land of the Four -- Revisited.

Session 23: Talon Reborn

Jayden Blacktalon died 1 sessions ago, long live Jayden Angelslayer! With a wave of the mighty Sword of Gwen, The Pact Sword, the Valkyrie within sweep across the scene of The Dragon Slayers final resting place and life is once again present in those that fell in battle. Confused but alive the party rose. Talis took command and led the party deeper into the drow fortress in hopes of completing their mission and hopefully finding a safe place to rest along the way.

The next door leads to a spiraling pit that goes deeper than the vision of an elf and equally as high. The party traverses a narrow ledge that follows the the shafts contours and finds themselves struggling to keep their footing on the precarious path. They left alone to reflect on their recent deaths until a huge creature rises out of the drop. A creature made of heads and death, that breathes light and slowly ascends. It spots the party and slowly begins to wail a mournful alarm. Quickly the party flees through the first door they come to, destroying the door as they go (Thanks Sinn !!), and finds themselves face to face with the women of House R'Van...

Lol I think you forgot to say that last part yesterday I don't remember there being a lady we were face to face with but that found fun

So, after the group retreated they returned to the room of their death. They were then face to face with female Drow? Or was this another room?

Another room. And yea I think you forgot to mention the female drow.

Some lay dead already. Others must die again. If House R'Van is to fall then its eight pillars, daughters of Matron R'Van must be eliminated. The task is before the party. Scoure the immense keep of the hated Drow and sever the head of the beast. Is the party ready to fight 6 drow priestess? Is the party ready to face a Matron Mother?

Session 26: Path of the Tornado

"Come, Swine of Indra, draw your sword and let this conest begin! The Matron Mother has offered the most sacred prize for your heads, a place in The Hall of the Family. You've passed through it. I cleared the way. She offers a place in House R'Van history. And I intend to collect." declares the Drow covered in tatoos from the waist up. In his hands are two scimitar eager to feel the winds of combat. The Sword Prince, Scion of Indra, does indeed step forward.

"What of your jackels, eagerly fingering their weapons? What happens when I kill you? Will they fall on us like demons thursting for vengence?" he asked. He looks from the waiting 24 Drow warriors and his motley crew of eight adventurers, sometimes known as The Dragon Slayers.

"That would be up to them." laughed the tatooed Drow. "Come, I grow eager to claim my reward."

"How could a fool with no name dane to challenge a true warrior?" asked Jayden Angelslayer. The Pact Sword nearly vibrated in his hand reflecting his desire to fight.

"My name is Vesper! The Matron Mother cares nothing for me for I am but a male but a male that slays those that threaten The House, those that put fear in the great Talimayne, is some one to be acknowledged. What would a mere dog like you know of such things."

"Dog!? Talis, let me fight him."

"No, Jayden, my honor won't allow it."

"Yes, Jayden let your master handle thinds. Be a good boy."

"Talis!"

"No! Vesper I would have a moment."

"Of course, pray to your storm god." the tatooed Drow holds the symbol arround his neck, a symbol from a world he'd never seen of day and night,sun and moon. He prayed to his personal goddess, Ratri the elven Goddess of Night.

Sinn restrains Jayden who, true to his brutish bloodline, is finding it hard to control himself. Talis sits with his blade, Bloodstorm, across his lap and clears his mind. Minutes pass and the gathered assemblage waits for the coming spectacle.

Damb 104 Drow killed!! I did not realize what we accomplished until its shown..I do declare!

Easily 50% of those kills are Darius' specificly.

what i wouldnt give to be a spell casting pally like 3.5. i miss those days

Was thinking on a comment Grom made about only if my character was a fighter. It was in reference to all the XP I would have accumulated for the kills.

If Darius was fighter/Mage or Fighter/Cleric he would not be as effective. His strength comes from combining the two classes of Cleric/Mage. If one is removed then he would not have the Create water (Cleric) and Lightening Bolt (Mage) combo.

The only other option is a Cleric/Mage/Fighter....
