The story so far...

Prologue
The Demon Hunters started out with two PCs playing the pre-rolled roles of Anari and Leigh Blackswath, orphaned sisters adopted and mentored by a strange and eccentric business man named Budd. The game begins with Leigh and Anari being sent on a freelance assignment by Budd for a mysterious 'Organization'. There is an Outsider on the A train line raping and kill, normal demon shit. The girls find the monster and destroy it, saving one victim but too late for the other. They get paid for the job by their mentor and sent on their way. Leigh worked in an office building doing clerical and Anari was a high school otaku.

Things went in the same vain with rape and crazy monster battles abound until the Blackswath sisters ran into a Named Demon (a Demon Lord, super Demon or Demon Demigod)by the name of Anaraxx. The party managed to avoid a confrontation with Anaraxx and for the first time began to truly question all of the tales they'd been told about the supernatural existance they led. They were demi-demons and did contract work for The Organization who's primary purpose was to police demonic, angelic and demi activity on the material plane. Budd was a demon and he used the contract work as a smokescrene for illegal activity. Just as they settled into this new world of knowledge Anaraxx returned.

Anaraxx claimed that the sisters held something of immense value that was hidden from him by Budd and their father. A futile fight was joined and in the end Anaraxx killed them in order to get to what he called 'The Keys'.

Demon Hunters Chapter 1
This is the first time players roll up charcters of their own, thus Toni Silence and Purell are born. Toni was an Animus(animal/demon hybrid capable of appearing human)cat imprisoned by a demon wishing to take her back to Hell where Animus are prized pets and worth lots of money. Purell was a Human girl with strange abilities and prone to seeing things that lived in an orphanage. Toni was saved by Organization Hunters tracking the Demon for his slave trade. Purell was approached by a scout for a mysterious school Upstate NY. Both end up at an estate run by an old Demi-Angel named Nena jefferson.

At Nena's home the two meet a dozen children and young adults there to learn about their various powers, both racial and cultivated. Overall they would graduate and either join the Organization or become productive members of the supernatural community. Purell, unable to handle the oddity of living amongs Demis and Demons, ran away to never be seen again. Her role in the cast is replaced by the Contemporary(Artificial humans created by the Organization as a private army) Di. Over the next two years(IN GAME CHAD!!!) the PCs learn new skills and learn about the secret world unknown to the average person. As they draw close to graduating they are offered the opportunity to Join The Order of the Hunting Crucible(The Organization for short) and they contemplate their future.

In the mean time they meet a cast of diverse NPCs including:
Tucker, the stunted Minotaur
Duncan, the Animus wolf
Larry plopper, the human spellcaster
Black, the magic teacher and Nena's life partner

They wonder why The Organization is so eager to recruit them, unaware that something is quickly eliminating the Hunters. As they are asked to help investigate by General Johan McBrennon, a Hunter with a grudge against all demons whether criminal or not, things come to a head. Anaraxx arrives at the school even as New york City is beginning to crumble and burn. He has used The Keys to the Kingdom to merge Hell and Earth thus bringing forth the end of the world. A fight ensues that sees the death a few friends and ends when Larry Plopper destroys himself and Anaraxx in a burst of purple light. As the spires of hell devour the school and much of the eastern seaboard Nena and her students flee to the ocan on Blacks boat and are eventually saved by a vessel run by The Organization. In the end the decision is made for the PCs. With Hell on Earth either you're a Demon Hunter or the Hunted.

Demon Hunters Chapter 2
The girls continue their training upon The S.S.Myff and begin Hunter schooling. They are joined by Gilly, the Demi-Angel Ninja. It becomes obvious very quickly that niether The Organization nor the governments of the world were ready for an invasion force of the size and strength that the merger brought to bare. Civilization was at the mercy of Hell's hordes and even with all that that implied Toni is bothered by dreams of Larry. It turns out that neither Larry nor Anaraxx had fallen. He escaped the Named Demon but had lost some of himself in the proccess. Toni, Di and The Organization's goal was made clear: find Larry Plopper for he had managed to steal one of the Keys. Toni and Di were made full fledged Hunters with teams to command and given the express purpose of returning to the mainland, now Hell, Find Larry and save who they could.

To help with the search Toni began the proccess of awakening psychic powers that would let her track down Larry and using them she found him or his alter ego created by the other trinket stole from Anaraxx, one of his Named Demon Titles. Titles ares empower an owner with abilities of godly proportions designed to affect the course of reality. Each of the 14 Planes held 9. 9 Titles for the 9 Guardians. The Guardians of Hell took the moniker Named Demons. Larry had accidentally aquired 1 of Anaraxx's Titles and thus become a Guardian of Hell but the change had altered him. He had become Darkwell. The party find Darkwell/Larry but have to flee from an army of Anaraxx's soldiers and wound up in a minplane between the planes known as The Space Between. There Larry and Toni confess their love for one another and consumate their vows concieving Larry Jr. and Lucifer Silenc-Plopper. Di and Tucker also build a romance that also includes Duncan and a snake Animus named Sexy.

Things come together when the party learns that Anaraxx has hidden the second key in Hell and they vanture to get it. The Key is retrieved though many die in the procees including Duncan. Anaraxx attacks tThe Organization Headquarters in Vatican City, almost killing many. Larry fully accepts his Title nad as Darkwell pushes back the Guardian. In the process he is blown away, lost to the unknown. The keys are joined and Hell is ripped away from an Earth beaten by 5 years of subjegation. Torn apart by the loss of Larry Toni leaves her children in the care of Nena and goes to Hell.

Demon Hunters Chapter 3
Three more years pass in game. Gilly spent his time training and working in his grandfather/Master's chinese food resturaunt. Di spent the intervening years building a massive family with Tucker, and Sexy (who was pregnant with twins when the overlay was ended). Three children join the cast of important NPCs:

Shimmer, Contemporary/Demon(Minotaur) mix
Duncan Jr, Animus/Demon(Minotaur) mix (named after the father lost)
Toni, Animus(Wolf/Snake hybrid)- Duncan and Sexy's son(named after Toni Silence-Plopper)

The game picks up with Toni Silence-Plopper returning to the Material Plane scarred and pregnant. She is intercepted by Hunter Elites calling themselves The Whisperers. She is detained and questioned. As her answers become more and more confusing it is decided that the commanding officer be called in. When he arrives it is revealed that it is none other than Captain Larry Silence-Plopper Jr. Toni finds out that here twins, Larry Jr. and Lucifer age differently that normal people and that in 3 years they have become adults. Because of her role in helping end the overlay, now called The Catastrophe, Lucifer has become a high ranking member of The Organization and has formed her own team of hunters, the Whisperers.

The reunion is not a happy one though. As soon as Larry Jr. realizes that his mother is pregnant by someone other than his father all of his abandonment issues flood to the surface. He gets Toni who is going into labor to Nena before disappearing in a show of growing power. Toni explains to Nena about her rape in Hell and her desire not to keep the baby. Nena, being old fashion opted to take the child for her. Devil Silence-Plopper is born. The old team is back together.

For the next couple of months(in game and out, Chad) the game is a matter of revelation after revelation. With none of Earth's governments in a position of stability The Organization has taken the role of leadership of Europe, North America, Japan and Africa. TOni has blocked out the memories of the rape and suffers from recurring nightmares that reveal the events piece by piece. Gilly's Master Fing cast him out to learn to become a Hunter and not just a ninja. The Whisperers' primary purpose is to track down and campture Darkwell and to find a portable and stable way to open rifts between the planes.

This Chapter was the longest. So I'll skip to pivotal moments:

Larry/Darkwell Toni and Di help The Whisperers fight Darkwell. He is immensely powerful and accompanied by a quartet of warriors; Bellastien(cerebroid gunslinger), Fido(Animus Berserker), Barricade(???), Priest(Human Air Mage). The fight is crazy with Larry jr. and Darkwell having a fantastic battle. In the end Darkwell hesitates when he confront's Toni, Larry peering out from beneath the darkness, and in that moment of weakness Junior strikes. Larry and Darkwell are seperated. The Darkwell entity and his minions retreat and Larry Silence-Plopper is returned to his family.

Black Riders Toni and Di embark on a campaign of annihilation against a warband of bikers known as The Black Riders. Together with the help of a Contemporary named Abe they find the Black Rider's HQ, Biker Heaven, and level it, saving dozens of slaves. Di adopts a young boy named Soldier. The Black Riders retaliate by attacking the New York Territory, unpreprared many die. The Organization mobilizes and Di is asked to interogate a captured Black Rider. Enter Axel. Axel was an Organization Contemporary until The Catastrophe when he was left behind. He survived by joining a group of thugs and bikers that survived on the mainland by avoiding the Demons and taking what they wanted. His time with the Black Riders made him dark and sinister, unlike any other contemporary(except Di). This intrieged Di and she showed him a few things that only she could do in hopes that he would share. This went against everything that Di was warned about by a mysterious Contemporary named Alpha. Di and Axel bond and then she pleads with his captors to hold him until she returned from the second strike against the riders. She returns to find Axel and a handful of Contemporarys gone.

Revolution Contemporarys throughout the entire Organization begin to disappear and people start to think the worse. Years ago there had once been a revolt by the Contemporarys led by Alpha, many lives were lost and many Contemporarys were liquified/recycled. Things were looking ominously similar. Di began to get messages via Contemp.Net to join the resistance and stand up for Contemporary rights. She ignored the calls until communications were lost with territory Florida. Gilly, Toni and Di are sent to investigate. Di is kidnapped by the Contemporarys that killed everyone in the territory and claimed all useful gear and equipment. Toni and Gilly are executed. Di finds out that Axel is the instigator of the revolt and is using the Contemporarys to fuel his need for carnage. He forces Di to marry him and join hima s King and Queen of the Contemprarys in Texas. Toni and Gilly are raised from the dead by an Animus named Mincy. They return to New York and Warn the Organization who have lost contact with Alaska and Texas. Abe betrays the revolution to bring Toni and Gilly to Texas in order for them to save Di. He commits suicide rather than picking a side. The ensuing battle ends with Axel's rebels fighting Alpha's as well as The Organization. Axel defeats Alpha and steals his knowledge on the inner workings of Contemorarys before escaping. In the aftermath Texas is given to the contemporarys to govern as a territory of The Organization but run by them.

Planes Walking With Lucifer's invention ready for its test run the party travel to the plane known as The Desert. They are jioned by Lucifer, her Whisperers and a Contemporary sent by Alpha to guard Di named Grimjow. The Desert is a terrible place who's three sunned mornings scorch anythhing unable to find shelter. The party travel in search of civilization and they find a broken blue people subjegated by Vampires that follow a Gaurdian named Antipathy. Gilly gets a blue woman pregnant and in a strange ritual watches the baby come ful term in a matter of hours. Gorgon is born. When the vampires arrive they fight the party and prove to be incredibly formidable. When Antipathy, The Golden Goddess, arrives Toni and Gilly are easily defeated and Lucifer was captured. The party travels to the Golden Palace to save Luci and find out that the reason they came to The Desert was because it is where Luci believed Duncan's body went when they lost it in the Space Between. At The Golden Palace they find Duncan alive and enslaved, Lucifer unconcious and bitten and a strange creature that Antipathy keeps as a pet. Toni saves her daughter and Di's beau while Gilly and Grimjow fight Antipathy. Mortals are no match for Guardians and they are demolished. In desperation Gilly shatters the dome that protects the Palace from the suns and forces the Golden Goddess to flee. It also killed thousands of the Blue People. The party escape to the Material with Gorgon, and Duncan.

Di's family is one again whole. Toni gains her memory of the rape and takes back custody of Devil. Gilly and Mincy begin to live together with Gorgan who's mother died when Gilly destroyed her city.

Demon Hunters Chapter 4
The battle against Antipathy had shaken Gilly and left him doubting his own skills. Determined to go back to The Desert and defeat the golden vampire he began to ignore his elementary Hunter training and focus on unlocking his angel powers. Di continues to take care of her family and tries to have another baby. Toni raises Devil while trying to fix Larry who seems to have lost all forms of aggression when split from Darkwell. This draws her to Darkwell and as her psychic powers grow she begins to spy on him from afar. The Organization tries to rebuild a world ruined by The Catastrophe and plagued by constant fighting. Grimjow continues to watch over Di whom Axel is still after.

Gilly leaves New York Territory for Canada where he is told there is a group of Angels that might train him. Training consist of browbeatings, real beatings and fencing. After what seems like an eternity they begin to show him how to better control his Temporal Freeze and his angelic voice. He is accepted as a part of their Order. Di's son Toni the Younger and Devil become inseperable and get into mischief at every turn. Toni the Younger developes a crush on Toni as he spends more and more time around her. Fing takes Gorgon on as his new student and makes him a member of the Goat Clan. Mincy gives birth to Griffin, Gilly's second son. Toni continues to spy on Darkwell.

What Toni finds and keeps secret until its too late is that Darkwell is building an army of humanoids made from trees, Treeoids. She begins to have clandestine rondevous with Darkwell and cheats on Larry on many occassions. Larry and Darkwell are two sides of the same coin and she loves them both. She keeps the secret of his army until one day while watching him, he destroys Territory Indiana with one well placed energy blast. He claims something from the rubble and then, knowing that she'd been watching, warns her that war is coming. When word that Indiana has disappeared hits The Organization Toni tells of the amassing army but too late. Darkwell marches upon the west coast and easily takes control. Even as TOni becomes jealous of three clones of herself Darkwell has made to occupy his time his army expands his holdings.

The war doesn't truly reach the party until an alert goes through all of The Organization. Territory Colarado was under attack and The Pope Johan McBrennon, leader of The Organization, needed immediate evac. Teams of Hunters, Hunter Pluses(Organization Super Soldiers), and Whisperers were hastily teleported to the Territorry where hundreds of Treeoid warriors awaited. After fighting their way through the army and gaining access to the roof of Colorado HQ thanks to Di's magic the party:

Gilly, Angel/Ninja

Di, Cotemporary/Earth Mage/Tae Kwan Do Master
Grimjow, Contemprary/Gunslinger

face a Darkwell Clone.

The battle is tough and in the end Grimjow is obliterated before the clone is shattered into a million pieces. The party make their way inside and meet Viper, a human ninja with hopes of joining the Plus program. The new party reach McBrennon and secure the area. They have 15 minutes befoe a rescue teleportation can be achieved and 5 minutes before Darkwells forces arrive. The party defend the Pope until a massive swarm of wooden spiders start to overrun their position. Desperate Gilly attempts to use the matter burning energies of his teleport to burn the swarm... he succeeds in teleporting the soldiers and swarm to The Space Between. What they find there is a swarm man sized Lizard/Insect hybrids, not unlike the creature he released when he destroyed the Golden Palace, that are devouring the miniPlane. Gilly hastily tries to return to the Material but not before the unknown creatures manage to come back with him. He fnds that his 'dirty teleport' tore massive holes in Colarado HQ and that the party managed to hold their ground. Many soldeirs die as the new threat scatters. The Pope is saved and The Nameless are unleashed upon the world.

Darkwell continues his conquest and the romance between he and Toni continues to burn. Shimmer is possessed by Axel and attacks her family before running away to parts unknown. Di goes into a depression. Gilly neglects Mincy and Griffin, while ignoring his Ninja training. He grows annoyed that his sister Ashley and son Gorgon are becoming better ninja than him but refuses to train. He focusses on bettering his Angel skills to the exclusion of all else. Di reaches out to Alpha for help on unlocking the 'Contemporary Arts' and is ignored. Axel begins to taunt his wife in her head. Larry begins to train himself in order to confront his other half. Larry Jr. grows even more powerful and aloof.

Darkwells army is held back in the midwest not far from what used to be Colorado Territory by The Organization's army and his inability to topple Texas, which was peopled by the strongest fighting force in the world- Free Contemporarys. The chapter comes to a climactic end when the party is sent to the frontlines for a massive push and a grand battle ensues. They meet a DMPC by the name of Kellimon Wwolf who proves invaluable as a support character. Once again Gilly attempts to use his energies to burn the wooden army and 'dirty teleports' a chunk of the battle fiield into the Atlantic Ocean. There they are atacked by a massive inky black turtle which Gilly dirtyports back to the battle. Fido kills Di during the fight while looking for Toni, whom he feels is taking the attention of his master(its a dog cat thing). When Gilly returns with the atlantic many drown including Fido and Barricade. The turtle opens and hordes of Anaraxx's army pour out. The battle becomes a three-way free-for-all as The Organization fights Darkwell's army of trees and Anaraxx's army of Blackmen. Gilly leaves the battle to enlist the help of his Angelic Order to kill Anaraxx and then Darkwell.

So quickly he forgot the lesson of Antipathy, Mortals are no match for Guardians. Though Darkwell was still learning his gifts he was still a powerhouse and Anaraxx... well Anaraxx is very dangerous.

As the Party fought for their lives against waves of Treeoids and Blackmen Gilly watched the angels be decimated by Darkwell clones and Anaraxx in his third form a giant three-headed Dragon of Fire. Needing to be the hero and make amends he flies into The Count of the Spire and teleports them both back into the ocean. Quickly he teleports back to the battle, victoious in his own eyes. Those eyes watch in shock as Anaraxx returns in his final form, the form each Guardian possesses that embodies their ability to reshape the planes as they see neccessary. The massive, half-mile, flaming head of death that fell towards Gilly stopped the war as all watched in awe and fear. As it drew closer many burned on the spot others were laid low by th sheer power. Gilly threw up his wings to protect himself and was burned to ash as Anaraxx hit the ground. A rift is torn from the great lakes to the gulf of Mexico by the impact. Viper dies in the fires of Hell. The only survivors were those that stood behind Toni Silence-Plopper and her protective wall of psychic energy MDC.

In the end Darkwell and The Organization sign a peace treaty. He became Regent of the West and rule all things west of The Great Divide(or The Gilly as Mike calls it). Toni goes to The Space Between to have Di and Gilly cloned and finds that it is being overrun by The Nameless. Di loses all memories of her life since the last time she'd been to The Space Between and drifts away from a family she no longer knows. Shimmer returns. Gilly goes to Heaven to explain why a contingent of Angelic warriors were wasted against a Named Demon. Darkwell visits Territory New York regularly to irritate Larry and tempt Toni. Toni leaves to finish her psychic training. Di leaves to live in the wilderness for a time. Gilly continues to neglect Mincy and she begins to resent raising his children but no having his love.

Demon Hunters Chapter 5
Things level out during a period of relative peace. Di comes back with a pack of wolves and attempts to get reacquainted with her family left behind. Tucker, Duncan, Sexy, Duncan Jr., Toni the Younger, Shimmer and Soldier are all happy to have her back and try to help her feel comfortable amongst them. She continues to be distant but she accepts them and begins the process of becoming a family again. She becomes pregnant and eventually gives birth to Tucker's child Taurru.

Toni focuses her efforts on two things: mastering her Psychic Warrior training and keeping tabs on Darkwell. Devil is growing into a young man at the heightened pace that most Animus age. He and Toni the Younger are nearly inseparable and prowl Territory New York like mischievous Hellions. The Silence-Plopper house is full with an old friend from Nena's school, Blair Vitch, moving in among other house guests. Toni starts a sort of halfway house for those she has met or saved during her various travels.

Gilly returns to a master who is displeased by his martial arts progress, or lack of progress. He watches as his sister Ashley and son Gorgon grow to be better ninja than him. His jealousy causes him to push his angelic powers to their limit and in one of his bouts of recklessness he destroys his master's dojo/Chinese food restaurant. As punishment he his marked with a jutsu that will kill him if he comes near the clan. He is banished for a year. Unwilling to leave New York he takes up residence within the Territory HQ and gets a job as a waiter.

It is during this time that Lucifer calls attention to a looming threat that the party must answer. The creature released from The Golden palace in The Desert and brought to the Material Plane by Gilly's dirtyport was one of a race known as the Nameless or Species Omega. Species Omega were rumored to be responsible for the extinction of the beings who created the Planes, the Titles and mot of existence. They are an insect-like race with a hive mind and the ability to rapidly adapt to any situation. They devour any and everything in their path, they are fearless and thanks to Gilly they were roaming free on the Material Plane. Since the party released them it was up to the party and The Whisperers to stop them. Luckily the Ancients, creators of the Planes, had left Cyclopean pyramids on all fourteen Planes that were designed to repel the scourge of existence. Larry Jr. reveals that his new powers allow him a glimpse into the future and what he sees is a terrible event on the horizon.

Thus charged and with the addition of Kellimon Wwolf, the party begins its campaign to defeat The Nameless:

Africa- The party encounters their first Defense Pyramid and are in awe of the treasures left behind by The Ancients. They encounter warrior versions of the constructs that call The Space Between home. The living machines scan the strongest enemy and copies their basic form and structure to be more efficient in 'testing' intruders. They find gold coins of a style never before seen and items of a foreign make. Most importantly they find recordings of The Ancients studying The Nameless, species Omega. It is made clear that though the Nameless were not created by the creators they were experimented on and augmented. The party leaves the Pyramid to find that the Nameless are waiting. One in the shape of a man warns the party that activation of the Defense via their remote would not only repel Species Omega but it would destroy everything for 5 miles. When the party shows no signs of caring the Nameless attack and are pushed back by the Nameless Bane(D&D style) weapons they acquired. The party flee with the Nameless in hot pursuit and activate the defense which indeed obliterates the entire area(Magic: The Gathering Style). The party realizes that the activation of the other Pyramids will be dangerous not only because of its natural perils but also because of the Omega opposition.

Necragnous- The Party travels to the home plane of the Vampires that have conquered The Desert. The party finds that though the denizens speak a dialect of The Ancient Tongue, which Toni and Di are slowly learning, it is very difficult to communicate. They are attacked by feral people that act like beastly pack animals and hold up with the common folk. They find that the Pyramid is under a massive city to the north ruled over by a Title holder known as The Silver Prince, brother to The Golden Goddess. Kellimon is given a young girls hand in marriage mistakenly while trying to find an back entrance, Di is thought to be a witch and Toni gets the party information about their destination. Things go wrong when Gilly tries to fight two vampires that wander into town. He is beaten and captured, given to the local lord, beaten some more and tortured sexually. While Toni, Di, Kellimon and their team head to the Defense; Gilly is taken to The Silver Prince. In a strange twist the Prince takes a liking to Gilly and after hearing his tale of The Nameless Scourge takes Gilly to the Pyramid and activates it. Meanwhile Toni and the crew get embroiled in a rebel movement to free the common folk from the vampire tyranny. Of course something has to go wrong. Gilly brings The Silver Prince to meet his companions and the Vampire Lord has the rebellion crushed. As the party leaves Gilly insults The Prince and a short battle ensues. In the end the party leaves Necragnous with Kellimon having a child bride, Gilly having no legs once the prince turned them to silver and then smashed them, Di making a few mental breakthroughs and Toni becoming more fluent in Ancient.

Darkwell's Marriage- Darkwell, The Regent of the West, plans to give Di, who he considers family because of Toni and his shared memories from Larry, a grand wedding in his territory. The party find that while the Organization keeps things rustic and low-tech Darkwell is very big on advancing technology or at least returning tech to its former glory. He has a number of TV shows and even a cartoon based on him. Larry has to fight the pull he feels towards Darkwell and Toni finds no reason to fight the pull at all. Di, Tucker, Duncan and Sexy become married. The regent plays nice with The Organization and the party... no one knows what his ulterior motives really are. Somewhere around this time Gilly, Toni and Di go to Hell where they are raped and Di is made pregnant. She ends up having the angry Minotaur baby and switching bodies. She names it Caleb but strange things occur and she is unable to keep him.

Faeree- Newly married and more concerned with increasing her family than stopping The Nameless Di opts to stay behind. The party sets out with an new addition a man named Michael Dragonside, husband to J. McBrennon daughter of Pope Johan McBrennon. Dragonside is an Earth Mage of moderate power and self consumed. Toni, Di, and Kellimon find him annoying. Faeree is a strange place who's magic seems to easily alter reality. The party meets an elf/Cerebroid hybrid named Shyare when saving her town from orcs and giants. They also find that when they shift they turn into fairytale versions of themselves. Gilly finds that many of the Japanese mainstays that he refused to learn from his grandfather (ninjutsu, bushido, honor) originate from the elves of Fae. He decides that he wants to learn from them so that he can return home better than his clan. The party gets lost in a magical forest and comes face to face with a leprechaun and his wish granting abilities when gold is returned to him. Rather than use his power the party runs from him(because they don't trust the GM), and in the process find a sentient sword named Kayle. Gilly claims Kayle as his own. They fight Rumplestiltskin, a swamp hag, and avoid a dragon before reaching the Pyramid. As with each before, the party fights warrior constructs find more treasure and view recordings showing that after The Ancients lost control of project Omega the Nameless had become so strong that even heir great magics, power and technology proved no match. Shyare claims her own sentient sword, Sylf, and returns to The Material with Toni. Gilly and Toni torment Dragonside and make an enemy that will prove to one day be a bad idea.


The Return of the Black Riders- The party experience a brief reprieve as other teams are sent to activate Pyramids. Blair, Toni's house guest is plagued by visions of Darkwell being her death. Di is bothered by the son she'd lost when switching bodies. Gilly gets acquainted with the sword that he treats like a sidekick. It is when all seems well that the Territory New York is attacked by bikers and US Army tanks, The Black Riders had returned with new toys and a much larger force than before. The Hunters fight hard and push the enemy back and are shocked to find that there were no bodies left behind. Investigations point to Contemporaries. Eager to prove their lack of involvement Texas sends a group of elites to support NY, Pope McBrennon sends Hunter Pluses as well. The party is enlisted to investigate a Contemporary who was believed to be a spy for the enemy. Through a devious diversion she escapes through tunnels under her house. They follow it to a working train station right under the Territory's nose and they are attack by more Contemporaries. Gilly shifts and uses his voice (deadly to demons i.e. Toni) in concert with grenades to nearly kill everyone but the enemy who flee on the train. Toni is brought back and the party manages to get the other train car going. They follow the tunnel for some time and eventually come to the end of the line, filled with guards. More grenades and Gilly is almost dead along with the rest of the team.

They follow the spy into a secret city peopled by contemporaries. At the same time territory NY attacks The Black Riders. Gilly grabs the spy and teleports her back to NY while the others flee from waves of Pseudo-Contemporaries, short lived clone contemporaries never before seen. The Black Riders prove to be imposters, they are Pseudos dressed like bikers. Gilly drops off his prisoner, finds dynamite and teleports back to the train station where hundreds of pseudos chase the party's fleeing train. He fumbles as he attempts teleport as he ignites the explosives and is engulfed in his own fireworks. The party gets away safely, except for Gilly, and spend the next few months wondering what went wrong. Devil, Toni the Younger and their girlfriends begin to show the desire to create their own group of young Hunters known as the Merkenaries(pronounced Mercenaries).

Gilly returns with a tale of horror. Axel and Caleb have created an army of Pseudo-Contemporaries controlled by true Contemporaries and equipping them with old world tech like tanks and airplanes. He was held captive during the intervening months and tortured to the point where he had only one arm and his Torso remaining intact. He escaped only because of a stroke of luck and Kayle. By the time that the Organization could investigate the facility and city were abandoned.

Bliss- Toni had given birth to her fourth child Judas and wanting to raise her in a safer place moved to a cottage in Scotland given her by Larry Jr. With Toni gone leadership of the team sent to Bliss was given to a Demi-Angel named Celine Valentine, niece of Michael Dragonside. They are also joined by an Animus Parrot named, Remy. The Bliss party find the plane a complete culture shock as the plane is entirely devoid of aggression. The people spend their lives partying or preparing to party. the mission is more of a vacation than anything else. It wasn't until the party reached the desert island that held the Pyramid that things got dangerous. It was in the entrance of the defense, fighting constructs, that Gilly asked Kayle to capture Remy's soul to keep it from escaping her dead body. Instead Kayle placed it within Gilly. When a device repaired her body Gilly's soul was placed in it by mistake. For the first time Gilly had to deal with a body far less powerful than his own and Remy was an angel with a voice that would kill Gilly. The party learns that The Ancients created the Planes as an experiment in building a place where the Nameless could not overrun, it was their last project before being wiped out.
The party goes to inform the council of Bliss about their success and thank the council for their help and unleash hell upon the peaceful people. The people of Bliss were once ruled by a tyrannical bodiless people that only cared about war. Their leader was a huge black sword, named Warrick, which the council kept safely trapped in their chambers until Gilly/Remy and Shyare brought along Kayle and Sylf. The two swords admit that they were banished to Faeree centuries ago and needed help to be brought back to free their master. The party allowed Bliss’s strongest Title holders to again spread their warmongering amongst the plane. In thanks, Sylf allows the party to flee before Warrick destroys them. Kayle promises Gilly/Remy that he would find him on the Material where the two could fight not as master/sidekick but as equals.

Tercia, 4 days forever- As the party prepare to depart Bliss Larry Jr. arrives in a world quaking release of energy. He looks for Toni and wonders why she isn't with the party. He panics because his visions told him that she needed to be present for what he intended to do. In a rush he vanishes and in his wake the party is torn from Bliss and is suddenly on Tercia standing in front of a Scottish cottage. He explains to all present, Larry, Toni, Judas, junior's girlfriend and daughter, Gilly/Remy, Di, Duncan, what has happened. He has seen a time altering event on the horizon for years and he is doing everything in his power to avert it. Part of that prevention meant that the party had to be away from the Material during the next few years. To their shocked and appalled replies he tells them that he is not taking them back for 4 days. 4 days on Tercia is equal to 4 years on the Material. He continues to explain that his timing was calculated to allow him to make three jumps but because Toni was not on the mission, something he had insisted to Lucifer, he could not use his last jump to save Nena and the rest of the family because he had to waste a jump to go to Scotland. 4 days pass like eons as the party fear the worse for those left behind.

Doh! I started reading chapter 5, then realized its a loong chapter. Need to read it in shifts.

Spotlight- Caleb

I can't seem to remember exactly where this fits so I will through him in hear.

Caleb is the son of Di, born from a Minotaur rape during one of the party's excurtions into Hell. She would not have kept him but she assumed that the baby she was carrying belong to her blue Minotaur husband and not the angry monster that attacked her, Gilly and Toni. She gave birth to him while imprisoned by The Organization for attacking a man she mistakened for a Nameless after a very arduous mission.

Locked in a cell with bars overflowing with energy she attempted to absorb the power into herself in hopes of increasing her Chi. The ensuing rush of energy set her hair ablaze and excellerated the growth of her unborn baby. With the help of Toni the baby was born hours later. Instantly he began to devour anything he could get his hands on with a particular eye for his mother. It was then discovered why Minotaur females are so rare. At birth Minotaurs are compelled to consume their mother in a similar fashion that some animal eat their plecenta. Many warned her that the baby was dangerous but DI didn't care.

Di elicited the help of Contemporary spies working for Axel and escaped prison. She was taken before The Red King and pleed for a new body. He of course complied, because she was his wife and he wanted only the best for her Minotaur baby with the mind of a Contemporary... a mind he could surely exploit. In her old body he helped her get back into prison and put her into a seperate cell so that she could watch the rapidly growing baby eat her former shell. Having eaten his mother and achieved his full potenial Caleb rested while 'Di' was released.

Over the next week she visited the baby that was quickly becoming a man. He was brilliant and spoke a lot about being visited by his 'father' Axel. This frightened Di and she worked to get the baby released. He was relesaed and quickly set about getting a job and establishing himself as a civilized Minotaur. He proved to be a genius with the massive size and strength of a horned demon and the computing power of a Contemporary. He lived in Territory New York for a year or so before taking a trip to see the world. In truth he left to find Axel. Not much is known about what has happened since except that the two of them have been unseperable, Red King and his huge Red right hand.

Spotlight- The Goat Clan

Here is another entity that is important to the story yet who's exploits can't quite be placed chronologically.

Since his introduction Gilly has been a member of ninja clan known as The Goats. Most information about the group has been secret because Gilly has never cared to learn about it. However the clan has made itself known throughout the Demon Hunter's story.

As far as Gilly knows, Master Fing is his grandfather and has raised him since early childhood to be a member of the clan. unfortunately Gilly has constantly shown that he has no regard for the spiritual and mental training that comes with his upbrining and only shows interest in the martial implications. It wasn't until Gilly saved a young man from the original Black Riders that he had any thought of the clan. He took Melvin as his apprentice and began to train him in the Gilly version of the Way of the Goat. It was when Gorgon came onto the seen that Fing not only took over training of Mel but also Gorgon and Gilly's, unknown until now, sister Ashley.

Melvin was trained as a footsoldier, while Ashley was taught the ways of poisons and infiltration. Gorgon was trained to take Fing's place, a role that Gilly assumed was his. Much strife arose due to Gilly's jealousy and might have played a part in Gilly's obsession with becoming the greatest Demi Angel and Ninja to ever live. After his return from exile, over the destruction of Fing's store, Gilly continued his reign of terror. Ashley, young and playful, had taken to assaulting the unwary with minor poisons. One day in a fit of anger over almost being poisoned he ruined his sister's face. This resulted in Fing ceasing his special trainign for the girl that would no longer be attactive enough to accomplish the task she was being trained for. This resulted in Ashley, codenamed Cherry Blossom, developing a deep seated hatred for her reckless brother.

The Goats have always had a feud with The Dragon Clan and a weak alliance with the Phoenix Clan. This has caused many confrontations in Gilly's life as well as the eventuall death of Mel. Gilly's youngest son Griffin was eventually brought into the fold by Fing before the old man's execution. Gilly's destruction of Fings restaraunt did more than destroy the old man's wealth it also destroy important clan relics within his possession. The time to take responsibility for the loss came and Fing took the blame siting that 'if he had trained Gilly to be a better man and not a mindless agent of destruction the items would not have been lost to the clan.' Accepting this the clan's mysterious Grand Master took Fing's instead of Gilly. This left Gorgon as the leader of the American Goats.

Demon Hunters Chapter 6
The party was away for 4 days but Material plane saw 4 years pass. In the interim many things had changed. They returned home to find that New York is a massive green meadow. The Organization was nowhere to be found; their homes, their friends, everything they knew. They eventually find that in place of Gilly's old underground lair is a group of survivors. The party finds Kellimon, his wife Dillon, their daughter Daryl, Cherry Blossom, and Griffin hiding from the horrors above. There is a somber reunion and then the party are told of the events that they'd missed.

Very shortly after the Bliss team returned a massive storm the likes never seen before kicked up. It was the residual effects of a battle between two title holders; Warrick The Blackblade who had chased the team across planes and The Storm Maker from Vapor. The two battled for weeks before Blackblade was victorious and he returned to his own Plane to nurse his wounds. The storm lasted a year and devastated The Organization. In the confusion that followed the storms destructive touch an army from Heaven arrived to deliver The Wrath of God. The angels defeated what was left of The Demon Hunters with the overwhelming power of their construct-like army of living statues known as The Exalted. The angels killed all Demons they encountered, imprisoned all Demi-Demons and enslave any humans. Their prejudice towards Demi-Angels caused them to eradicate their offspring. The Exalted destroyed structures and used their power to return nature back to its proper balance. Where The Organization had once rebuilt on fallen cities now stood forest and meadows. Man had once again seen an Armageddon.

The party was beside themselves over the loss of their families and people though glad to hear that a few familiar faces survived the Rapture. All were saddened to hear that Nena, being a Demi-Angel herself, died along with Remy in Gilly's body. Toni the Younger and Devil had built a stronghold in the south and a small army, The Mercenaries. When Devil comes north to trade with Cherry Blossom and Kellimon he is surprised to see his family alive but instead of being happy he confronts Larry Jr. whom he resents for leaving him behind. The two fight and Larry's near godlike powers are sorely tested by Devil's ability to negate powers. When the fight is over both are savagely wounded and Toni needs to heal them.

It is decided that the group should move to Mercenary headquarters after a run in with The Exalted. During the trip Di loses the child she is carrying and in desperation forces her lifeforce into the corpse, bringing it back to life but creating a Chi Vampire in the process. Gilly laments the loss of his body and being trapped in Remy's body. Toni is saddened by the rift between her son and the news that Lucifer has been driven crazy by a mysterious disease. They head south ripe with grief.

Enter Tracy Morgan- Tracy Morgan was a former professional boxer living in Mercenary Territory until she found a family ravaged by a mysterious wild animal. Realizing that she lacked the skills to defend herself or her neighbors she joined the Mercs to learn. She makes waves by saving a group attacked by bandits and fighting Toni the Younger. The two become quick friends and occasional bed companions. It isn't until the Mercenaries move to a stronghold dubbed Mercenary Hill that she officially joins the party.

Enter Ganymede Ja- Ganymede was the leader of a team of Hunter Pluses left behind when the organization fell. His team had carried out hit and run sorties against The Exalted for years before they were decimated leaving Ganymede as the only survivor. He briefly meets the party as they help a group known as The Reapers fight back the angels. He joins the Reapers who eventually merge with the Mercenaries which is when he joins the party. His addition is tentative because of his history with Tracy Morgan who trained with him under the same Thai Boxing master and his Plus withdrawal.

As the party becomes acclimated to their new lives it is Larry Jr. that explains that this changed world that they've returned to is not the darkness he's seen through his future sight. He warns that Toni, Di, and Gilly/Remy must unite the divided survivors because it would be another year before his vision came true. With this knowledge Di and Toni convince the leaders of The Mercenaries to set out on a quest to join with the other small groups hiding throughout the world. Thus The GEA(Grand Earth Army) was born.

War on the Angels- As the GEA built upon their numbers they trained and prepared under the canopy of a great forest created by The Exalted. The living statues patrolled continuously yet never left the skies thus leaving a huge blind spot for the rebels to hide. During this time of preparation the party is used to demonstrate The GEA’s strength to groups that refused to join. Gilly/Remy leaves in search of a way to turn his new Demi-Demon body into the Angelic one he deserves and the party soon meets a strange Beast Master/Former Priest named Nathan Hawkins or Hawk. With Hawk’s help the party convince a hidden town of medical specialist, aptly named Haven, to join up. This is when the party finds out that Haven is run by an angel that has defected from the mass. Gabriel the Firstborn proves to be far more powerful than any angel they’d ever met and claims to have existed before The King of All(God) came to Heaven. With his knowledge they are even more prepared to face the angelic armada, though he refuses to fight unless he is personally threatened.

To Rome, To Rescue- During an adventure into the forest for personal reasons(the burying of her vampire son that attempted to kill her and Duncan at birth) Di is captured by The Exalted. She is interrogated by an Exalted variant known as The Barbaric and after giving away no information is sent to Rome as a part of a shipment of Contemporarys. The place once called Italy had changed after the storm. What remained of The Organization had fallen back to the defenses of The Vatican City and rose up a new leader after the deposition of Pope Johan McBrennon. Michael Dragonside became the new Holy Roman Emperor and now ruled The Hunter Plus army and Rome. Hunter Pluses cannot survive without an elixir made from dead Contemporarys and as part of a treaty made between the remnants of Texas, still run by Contemporarys, and the angels, who were unable to conquer either nation, received periodic shipments of the dead.

It was up to Ganymede, Toni, Tracy, and a spell caster named Robert to save her before she could be liquefied. There is no way to assault Rome without facing a force of The former Organization’s super solders, a task that even the party would have trouble successfully accomplishing. It quickly becomes clear that Toni, and Tracy are out of their element and Ganymede takes charge of the mission. He infiltrates Rome under the pretense of being a Plus wishing to return to the fold. They spend a few days in Rome planning the heist of Di’s body and Ganymede gets the elixir infusion he desperately needed. In the dead of night they find the body and flee through the city’s sewage system. It is here Tracy Morgon fight a huge sewage beast and makes her name killing the creature by diving through its eye and bursting out of its mouth. While it was Ganymede’s skills that made the mission successful it will be Tracy’s slaying of the Leviathan that people would forever remember.

Bridgeport- Around Bridgeport sat a number of settlements barely pestered by the angels. The GEA wanted the land and need the people and so the party was sent to negotiate. It was rumored that a band of bandits terrorized the area and it was hoped that by removing the threat the people would be willing to accept the GEA. It is when the party arrive that they find that the people had recently been attacked and all of their able bodied people were abducted. The party saw this as the perfect opportunity to make a good impression and proceeded to rescue the prisoners as well as wipe out the bandits. During this adventure it is revealed that Di had found GIlly’s body and was withholding the information. With the help of Larry Jr. Toni is able to take Remy and Gilly’s bodies and return the minds to their rightful homes. With Gilly back to full power the party saves the day.

Lord of the Dark- It is just after Bridgeport is cleansed that Toni senses that he is being watched. She racks the source with her mental skills and finds that she is being spied on by Joshua, Darkwell’s right hand. Feeling that Darkwell might be a great asset to The GEA she grabs Gilly and Di and sets out across The Great Divide to find Joshua and hopefully his master. What they find is a land untouched by The Exalted but definitely under the grip of Hell’s presence. They get to Joshua and find out that Darkwell is indeed alive as are Lucy’s daughter Ophelia and Sexy. There is a short reunion before Darkwell reveals that he cannot leave his city because he is being held prisoner by another stronger Title holder that wishes to eat him. Toni and Gilly decide that their powers have grown enough to defeat a Named Demon and they set up to fight The Creeper in the Dark. The battle destroys a skyscraper(which survived the Catastrophe, The Storm, and the angels) and leaves the city without power. In the end it is with the help of a construct made by Darkwell that The Creeper is destroyed. Within the construct was the corpse of Blair Vitch and as Gilly watched in angry horror the Title of Creeper in the Dark passed to her(think The Quickening from Highlander.

Freed from the threat of The Creeper, Darkwell agrees to join The GEA and leaves Hell America for Heaven America. Toni warns him that if he tries anything she would destroy him and he promises that he won’t try to take Blair’s Title until she awoke and that he would leave The GEA to its own devices. Gilly gripes about not receiving the Title, Di and Duncan are happy to have Sexy back. Toni watched with a small level of happiness as Devil and Larry Jr. join together to fight Darkwell. In the end father and sons come back wounded but having a small understanding.

Fall of the Angels- The war with angels starts in earnest when The GEA begins attacking Exalted scouting teams all over the country. Gabriel assured them that the leaders of the angel army waiting within their floating cities were too proud to call for help so the battle could be carried out in small skirmishes that would turn the odds in the rebels’ favor. After a string of successes it is determined that one final attack would be made as a synchronized attack on all of the floating cities. The huge front of the battle is seen through the eyes of two teams Gilly, Tracy and Ganymede/Toni, Di.

The battle coincides with Di’s due date, since she is pregnant with Gabriel’s child, and the one year anniversary of the party’s return to The Material. The angels put up a fight but once it becomes obvious that victory will cost too many lives on both sides they retreat with a warning:

The spawn of The Prince of Times(The Devil) would soon walk the earth and that the actions of Heaven were the Angelic Council’s attempt to help man stand against him for if he conquers The Material all of the Planes would fall to him. The Exalted were powered by the souls of fallen saints and the captured humans were being guided toward sainthood in the attempt to strengthen Heaven’s army. Man would regret shunning Heaven’s help.

As the angels fell back to Heaven darkness crept across the sky. It was a darkness that would never recede. The sign of Damien’s coming.

To be honest I quickly ready through a lot of the story, missing some key info like 4 days.

All the gilly stuff must of been bad cause you tend to make player look better than they were...Gilly looks really bad in this story. This must be the stupidest roleplayer!

There are times when he is the only one willing to think outside the box. The only issue is that he has no sense of other's worth. For example his voice can kill a demon within ear shot, knowing this he never even tries to avoid using his deadly ability around TOni who is not only the Healer of the group but also a Demon.. When in The Desert he unleashed a vocal blast that leveled an old city made of glass killing dozens, not two hours later out of game he does it again in a more populated city in order to hurt Antipathy. He destroyed the city, killed thousands and all he could see is that he forced Antipathy to retreat.

It is common place for him to grab allies and throw them into enemies to buy himself time, or to throw grenades into the midst of combat. He doesn't care. The only saving grace is that he has no regard for his own safety either so he usually reaps what he sows and he tries to save players as often as he tries to kill them.

Mike is reckless and feels that as long as he has accomplished his goals nothing else matters and his goals are to become a god strong enough to defeat the gods he hates so much(Darkwell, Anaraxx, Blair, Antipathy The Golden Goddess,The Silver Prince, and Kayle) not to mention Larry Jr.

In Demon Hunters there are 14 planes; each with its own ecosystem, denizens, monsters and heroes. They exist slightly out of faze with one another leaving them connected but otherwise undetectable from a different plane. The Material Plane acts as kind of the key link in the chain and any massive change to it effects each other plane like dominoes. The subtle difference in the planes is reflected in the passage of time. The further away a plane sits from The Material the slower time moves.

The further a plane is from The Material the more distorted time becomes. An hour in Olympus is more than a year on The Material. The planes roughly form a ring making Heaven and Hell equal distance away and Olympus the very furthest plane.

Cool idea. Was this book inspired or it just came to you?

The different designs and concepts from the plane were taken from pop culture and books but the layout of the universe was a concept that developed during the early days of the first Demon Hunters campaign.
